We are all ages and a multitude of abilities and gifts. We live nearby or we travel a ways to help out.
Biking directions: From the Military Ridge Bike Trail, turn North at County Highway H on the East edge of Ridgeway and head 1/4 mile North. The Ridgeway Pine Relict SNA sign on your left and an info box give advice on hiking.
Driving directions: There are two units of this 551 acre natural area that is easy for public access and for work parties.
Eastern unit: From the intersection of County HHH and H in Ridgeway, go north on H about 0.6 miles to an overgrown access lane on the west side of the highway and just north of the farmstead. The access is marked with small State Natural Area signs. Park across the road and about two car lengths farther Norh. Then walk into the access lane into the natural area.
Central or West unit: Take HWY 18-151 just to West of Ridgeway and take the Ridgevue Road exit circling back. It will be about .85 miles to a small parking area west of the road. But you probably want to keep going North on Ridgevue Road another 1/4 mile to the sharp 90 degree turn in Ridgevue Road. A few cars can park there and an info box provides quick access to convenient hiking trails.
